AJSC Meets Media Managers in 12 Provinces, Discussing Challenges and Opportunities of Media Work

To evaluate challenges and opportunities of media work, in the previous month, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held meetings with managers and journalists of 13 local media houses in Ghazni, Balkh, Kundoz, Takhar, Baghlan, Nuristan, Panjshir, Parwan, Saripul, Jawzjan, Bamyan and Kapisa provinces.


AJSC’s zone coordinators and provincial focal points, managers of RTA Balkh and Nuristan, head of Sadat radio and television network, head of Bakhtar News Agency, managers of Adib, Neday-e Haqiqat, Khawar, Turkman, Saday-e Saripul, Kahkashan, Bamyan, Danish-e Roz, and Payam Bano radio stations had participated in these meetings.


In these meetings, challenges and opportunities facing media work, installation of transmitter filters, access to information, AJSC’s activities in improving the situation of the media, and financial issues of the media were discussed.


AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
