Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) is a registered independent, nonprofit organization with the ministry of Information and Culture which was created in 2009 to support and defend press freedom in Afghanistan as well as safety of journalists and media workers including the facilitation of a safe working environment for Afghan and foreign media workers in Afghanistan. The headquarter of AJSC is located in Kabul and has regional managers and provincial representatives across seven regions which include: South, South-East, East, Center, North, North-East and West. With this structure, AJSC is able to provide safety services and defend freedom of press across the nation.
