The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), in separate advocacy meetings, shared challenges facing journalists and media houses of Saripul and Samangan provinces with Mulah Daad Khuda Khadim, deputy governor of Samangan and Khal Mohammad Haqqani, deputy governor of Saripul.
In the meetings, AJSC’s provincial focal points for these provinces, discussed the overall media work situation and journalists’ access to timely and credible information in the abovementioned provinces and emphasized the need for the government entities cooperation with journalists and media houses.
In these meetings, government officials said that the local administrations will have comprehensive cooperation with the media and will endeavor to facilitate media’s better access to information.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
