The director of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), during a trip to the northern zone of the country, met with a number of local media managers and journalists in Balkh province.
In this meeting, Abdul Latif Sahak, AJSC’s coordinator for the northern zone, provided information on the overall situation of media work in this province.
In the meeting, challenges facing media work such as lack of standard work contracts, lack of proper equipment, bad behavior, none compliance with copyright regulations, and media houses financial challenges were discussed.
Abdul Qadeem Wyar, AJSC director, in addition to assessing the challenges facing media work, said that the AJSC endeavors so that challenges facing journalists are addressed and they continue their reporting in a safe environment.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media, and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
