The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) introduced Rohullah Sangar as its new provincial focal point for Parwan province. Before the introduction of Mr. Sangar, Masroor Lutfi worked as AJSC’s Parwan focal point.
Jamil Weqar, head of AJSC, Mawlawi Shamsullhaq Sediqqi, head of Parwan’s information and culture directorate, Hafiz Raz Mohammad Yaser, mayor of Charikar city, Hasib Fararoon, AJSC programmes manager, and a number of media managers and journalists of this province attended the meeting held for this purpose.
In the meeting, Jamil Weqar, head of AJSC, in addition to appreciating the work of AJSC’s previous provincial focal point and introducing Mr. Sangar, said that the media sector needs more work and that we are committed to make every effort to address the challenges of journalists and consider their recommendations.
Head of information and culture of Parwan also appreciated AJSC’s efforts, promised to cooperate with AJSC’s newly appointed provincial focal point.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the work of journalists and facilitate a safe environment for them.
