To evaluate challenges and opportunities of media work, in the previous month, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held meetings with managers and journalists of 25 local media houses in Herat, Kandahar, Kundoz, Ghazni, Baghlan, Kunar, Laghman, Badakhshan, Ghor, Farah, Nimroz, Takhar, Uruzgan, Panjshir and Paktika provinces.
Head of AJSC, western, north-eastern, central and southern zone coordinators and provincial focal points of AJSC, heads of RTA Panjshir, managers of Meraj and Zala radio and television networks, head of Uranoos and Istiqlal Tv stations, managers of Kuhandazh, Kundoz, Kawoon Ghag, Ziar, Harim-e Zan, Saday-e Banowan, Sarhad, Firozkoh, Saday-e Adalat, Dunay-e Now, Nishat, Hamsada, Killid, Khkula, Ziwar, Taroon, Baghlan, Shamla, Dehkadah, and Pashtoon Ghag radio stations had participated in these meetings.
In these meetings, challenges and opportunities facing media work, access to information, AJSC’s activities in improving media situation, journalists’ safety and financial and broadcasting issues of the media were discussed.




AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
