Southern and western zone coordinators of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) met Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA).
The overall media work situation in these zones, challenges facing media and journalists, journalists’ access to credible information, high cost of electricity for the media, high media license fees, safety of journalists and other topic were discussed in the meeting.
IEA’s spokesperson reiterated his support for the media and journalists, adding that he’ll share existing challenges of media and journalists with relevant entities so that they are addressed.
AJSC has been continuously working to facilitate a safe environment for journalists and media workers across the country.
