AJSC Holds Advocacy Meetings with Government Officials 13 Provinces

The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) to address challenges facing media work, held separate advocacy meetings with officials of 17 different government entities in Nangarhar, Ghazni, Kunduz Bamyan, Takhar, Kunar, Paktika, Paktia, Faryab, Saripul, Badakhshan, Zabul and Panjshir provinces.


Deputy governors’ Panjshir, Zabul and Nangarhar, police chief of Kunar, officials of directorates of information and culture, and various other government entities, and AJSC’s coordinators for centeral, eastern and north-eastern zones and provincial representatives, had participated in these meetings.


In these meetings, challenges facing media work, appointing spokespersons, broadcasting challenges of local media outlets facilitating better access to information and journalists’ safety were among the topics discussed.


Government officials, in addition to their support for media and journalists, said that they will endeavour to address challenges facing journalists.


AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
