To evaluate challenges and opportunities of media work, in the previous month, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held meetings with managers and journalists of 20 media houses in Kundoz, Paktia, Panjshir, Laghman, Uruzgan, Zabul, Helmand, Logar, Saripul, Jawzjan, Kapisa, Maidan Wardak, Takhar, Nimroz, Ghor and Bamyan provinces
AJSC’s coordinators for north-eastern and capital zones and provincial focal points, head of RTA in Panjshir, Logar, Bamyan, managers of Uranoos Tv and Ghazal radio and Tv stations, Head of Bakhtar News Agency in Maidan Wardak and managers of Nan, Kohandazh, Kundoz, Hasin, Shama, Khkula, Watan Ghag, Mahal, Arghawan, Reda, Danish-e Roz, Neday-e Haqiqat, Talimul Islam, and Firozkoh radio stations had participated in these meetings.
In these meetings, challenges and opportunities facing media work, access to information, AJSC’s activities in improving media situation, journalists’ safety and financial and broadcasting issues of the media were discussed.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
