AJSC is saddened about the death of a former journalist, Hafizullah Haqparast. Mr. Haqparast was killed in a clash between Afghan security forces & the Taliban while farming in the Pul-e-Alam, center of Logar province. We express our condolences to his family and media the community.
We urge the government to investigate the case & once again reiterate our call to parties involved in the conflict that journalists & media workers are civilians & not a target. Both sides should do their best not to harm civilians.
