AJSC Participates in the Meeting of Commission on Media Violations

The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), in addition to sharing the latest statistics of cases of violence against journalists, demanded the release of two journalists in the custody of the caretaker government, Mirza Hassani and Abdul Hanan Mohammadi.
In the meeting, financial issues facing media organizations were also discussed. The discussed subject included the exemption from tax-related fines, changing electricity bills for media organizations from commercial to residential, reducing the frequency fees payable to ATRA, and increasing the withdrawal limit from the bank accounts of media organizations.
The AJSC, once more, emphasized that all media-related cases should be addressed and dealt with through the Commission on Media Violations.
