The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) hosted Inamullah Samangani, Director of Government Media and Information Center of the Islamic Emirate (GMIC).
In the GMIC director’s visit to the AJSC, challenges facing media houses and journalists such as lack of journalists’ access to information, especially of women journalists, economic hardships of media houses and cooperation between media and the government were discussed.
In the meeting, Mr. Samangani, referring to the challenges facing the media, said that the government is trying to address the challenges facing the media, especially the economic problems of the media houses.
The AJSC has been working for facilitating better coordination between the government and the media, and a safe environment for journalists.
