The provincial representatives of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held coordination and advocacy meetings with provincial officials and local journalists of Balkh, Nangarhar, Faryab, Laghman, Nuristan and Sar-e Pul provinces.
In the meetings, the right to access to information, journalists’ safety, job opportunities for journalists and financial issues and publication related problems of the media organizations were discussed.
The provincial officials of the said provinces promised facilitating better access to information and cooperation of local officials, during these meetings.
