‌AJSC Meets Police Chief of Uruzgan Province

The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), to address challenges facing journalists, organized a meeting with Mawlawi Mohammad Rafiq Khadem, police chief of Uruzgan province.


Bilal Urzgani, spokesperson for Uruzgan’s police command, and a number of local journalists of this province also participated in the meeting.


In addition to discussing topics such as access to information, journalists’ safety and creating better relationship between government and the media, Latif Zaheri, AJSC’s provincial focal point for Uruzgan province, also raised challenges facing journalists and urged the government official to address them.


Uruzgan’s police chief while appreciating organizing such meetings, said that he will look for adequate solutions to journalists’ challenges and positively respond to their requests.


The AJSC has been working for facilitating better work relationships between the government and the media, and a safe environment for journalists.
