The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), to address challenges facing journalists, organized a meeting with Mawlawi Ziaulhaq Hamed, police chief of Kunar province.
In this meeting, Samiullah Taron, head of RTA Kunar and a number of local media managers and journalists of this province also participated.
In addition to discussing topics such as access to information, journalists’ safety and creating better working relationship between government and the media, Fazel Wahed Afkari, AJSC’s provincial focal point for Kunar province, also raised challenges facing journalists and urged the government official to address them.
Kunar’s police chief said that he has come to this province to service and that he will look for adequate solutions to journalists’ challenges.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
