To address challenges facing media houses, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized advocacy meetings with officials of the treasury department in Kundoz and Kapisa provinces.
Abdul Khaliq Rahmat, treasurer of Kapisa province, and Azanullah Rahmani, head of evalution department of Kundoz’s treasury, and AJSC provincial focal points had participated in these meetings.
In these meetings, the challenges facing media houses, especially media outlets’ tax issues and financial challenges were discussed.
The officials of the treasury department in these provinces promised to address media houses’ tax issues and urged media outlets to pay their taxes on time.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
