The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) shared challenges facing journalists and media houses with Qari Gul Haidar Shafaq, governor of Jawzjan, in a meeting held in this province.
Qamaruddin Poya Azizi, AJSC’s provincial focal point for Jawzjan, in addition to providing information on AJSC’s activities, discussed challenges facing journalists and media workers, the overall media situation in this province, and journalists’ safety and access to information.
Governor of Jawzjan said that he will endeavour to address journalists’ challenges, adding that the local administration’s provision of information will be improved.
The AJSC has been working for facilitating better work relationships between the government and the media, and a safe environment for journalists.
