The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held a meeting with Hayatullah Mahajer Farahi, deputy minister of publication of the Ministry of Information and Culture (MOIC) in Herat province.
Shamil Ahmad Mashal, AJSC’s western zone coordinator, in addition to discussing challenges facing media work and access to information, emphasized the need for government’s support and cooperation with the media.
Deputy minister of publication said that he will discuss and instruct relevant authorities to address the challenges facing media work.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media, and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
