To evaluate challenges and opportunities of media work, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held meetings with managers of one government media house and ten private media houses in Kandahar, Ghazni, Baghlan, Uruzgan and Kapisa provinces.
AJSC’s provincial focal points, head of Ghazni’s RTA (National Radio and Television of Afghanistan) and managers of Ghaznawyan, Saadat, Shamla, Dehkada, Khoshhal, Sama, Neda-e Haqiqat, Tabasom, Chonghar and Shama radio stations, had participated in these meetings.
In these meetings, challenges and opportunities facing media work, access to information, AJSC’s activities in improving the situation of the media, and financial issues of the media were discussed.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
