AJSC Organizes Advocacy Meetings with Government Officials of Four Provinces in the Western Zone

To address challenges facing media work, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized separate advocacy meetings with provincial officials of Farah, Badghis, Ghor and Nimroz provinces.


Abdul Hai Zaeim, head of Ghor’s directorate of information and culture, Matiullah Muttaqi, head of Badghis’ directorate of information and culture, Saleh Mohammad Musafir, head of Nimroz’s directorate of borders and tribal affairs, Akhtar Mohammad Zaeim, head of Farah’s directorate of education and AJSC’s provincial focal points for the said provinces had participated in these meetings.


In the meetings, challenges facing journalists, journalists’ access to credible and on time information, safety of journalists, were discussed.


In the advocacy meetings, government officials of these provinces, promised that government agencies will facilitate improved cooperation and coordination with the media.


AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
