To address challenges facing journalists and facilitate access to information, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) met with government officials in Kundoz, Laghman, Bamyan and Nuristan provinces.
Hizbullah Mubashir, head of Kundoz’s directorate of education, acting director and head of department of tourism of Laghman’s directorate of information and culture, Ghulam Rahman Haidari, media officer of Nuristan’s police command, Mohammad Khawani Rasa, spokesperson of Bamyan’s police command, and AJSC’s provincial representatives had participated in these meetings.
In the meetings, challenges facing journalists, journalists’ access to credible and on time information, safety of journalists, were discussed.
In the meetings, government officials of these provinces, promised that government agencies will facilitate improved cooperation and coordination with the media.



AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
