To evaluate the challenges facing media work, the acting director of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), during his trip to the northeast zone, met with Zabihullah Amiri, head of information and culture directorate, and a number of local media managers in Badakhshan province.
Abdul Qadeem Wyar, deputy and acting director of the AJSC, in separate meetings with director of information and culture and local media mangers of Badakhshan province, in addition to evaluating the challenges facing media work, said that the AJSC is planning to undertake more supportive measures so that challenges facing journalists are addressed and they continue their reporting in a safe environment.
Director of information and culture of this province, in addition to welcoming AJSC deputy director and appreciating the work and achievements of AJSC, asked for facilitating capacity building opportunities for the journalists of this province.
AJSC deputy director also visited Saday-e Kokcha, Saday-e Amu, Harim Zan and Banowan radio stations and Pamir and Mehr radio televisions, during this trip. AJSC deputy director was accompanied by Abdul Latif Sahak, AJSC’s coordinator for the northern zone and Sayed Ikram Laalzad, AJSC’s provincial focal point for Badakhshan.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media, and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
