AJSC Acting Director Meets Head of Information and Culture Directorate of Balkh Province

To evaluate the challenges facing media work, the acting director of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), during his trip to the northern zone, met with Zabihullah Nurrani, head of information and culture directorate of Balkh province.


Abdul Qadeem Wyar, deputy and acting director of the AJSC, in this meeting, discussed journalists’ challenges and the importance of access to information for credible and on-time reporting, and emphasized on providing better facilities for journalists.


In this meeting, Balkh’s director of information and culture, in addition to promising cooperation in facilitating better access to information, said that the transfers and changes of personnel in government positions will not slow down the process of information sharing.


AJSC’s acting director also visited the Fajr Radio, a local media outlet, and discussed this outlet’s activities with its officials.


In these meetings, AJSC’s acting director was accompanied by Abdul Latif Sahak, AJSC’s north zone coordinator.


AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media, and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
