In continuation of the capacity building programs of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), Safety of Journalists, First Aid, Psychosocial Support and Cyber Security training programs were organized for 174 journalists and media workers (113 males and 61 females) of Balkh, Ghazni, Samangan, Jawzjan, Ghor, Badakhshan, Baghlan and Kabul provinces.
In the training programs, journalists and media workers were trained on subjects such as safety measures while reporting from crowded areas, protest sites, workplace safety, providing first aid for different types of wounds, CPR, protecting and caring for wounds, mental disorders, depression, anxiety and fear, data security and protection, malwares, phishing, identifying threats, social engineering, etc.
Ninety-one percent of 144 participants in the survey evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of the training programs, responded that they were satisfied with programs.
Participants of these training programs appreciated and thanked AJSA for organizing such learning opportunities.
AJSC organizes capacity building programs to enhance journalists and media workers’ capacity and improve their skills in various fields related to journalistic work.
