To address challenges facing media work, the acting director of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), during his trip to the eastern zone, met with Mawlawi Akhtar Mohammad Muzamil, deputy governor of Laghman province.
Abdul Qadeem Wyar, deputy and acting director of the AJSC, in this meeting, discussed journalists’ challenges and AJSC’s plans to support journalists, and emphasized on providing better facilities for them.
In this meeting, deputy governor of Laghman province said that the media situation is improving in the province adding that there is good coordination with the media. He further said that government has focused on improving journalists’ safety and will continue to do so.
Zabihullah Naseh, acting director of Lahgman’s directorate of information and culture, Yousof Zarifi, AJSC provincial coordinator, and Mirwais Khwakhogi, AJSC provincial focal point for Laghman, also attended this meeting.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media, and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
