The acting director of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), during his trip to the east zone, visited Sola Arman, Raghon and Ziyar local radio stations in Laghman province.
In the meetings which were organized to evaluate local media houses activities and challenges facing media work, topics such as economic challenges of media houses, access to information, and the importance of media work were discussed.
Abdul Qadeem Wyar, deputy and acting director of the AJSC, in the meetings with local media managers of Laghman province, in addition to discussing the importance of media work, said that AJSC constantly endeavours to support journalists and media houses.
In these meetings, AJSC’s acting director was accompanied by Yousof Zarifi, AJSC provincial coordinator and Merwais Khwakhogi, AJSC provincial focal point for Laghman.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media, and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
