To evaluate challenges and opportunities of media work, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held meetings with managers and journalists of 12 local media houses in Nangarhar, Daikundi, Takhar, Jawzjan, Baghlan, Laghman, Nuristan and Zabul provinces.
AJSC’s provincial focal points, managers and reporters of RTA Nuristan, Ghazal, Mah-e Now, Raihan and Sharq radio and tv networks, as well as Ziar, Paigham, Nasim, Chonghar, Danish-e Roz, Hamsada and Takharstan radio stations had participated in these meetings.
In these meetings, challenges and opportunities facing media work, access to information, AJSC’s activities in improving the situation of the media, and financial issues of the media were discussed.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
