AJSC Introduces Its New Provincial Focal Point for Panjshir Province

The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) introduced Wali Mirzad as its new provincial focal point for Panjshir province.


In the meeting held for this purpose, Abdul Qadeem Wyar, deputy and acting director of the AJSC, Mullah Shah Malan Rohullah, deputy governor, Mawlawi Nasrullah Malikzadah, head of information and culture directorate, Yousof Zarifi, AJSC’s provincial coordinator, spokespersons of a number of government institutions, and local journalists of this province had participated.


In this meeting, cooperation with the AJSC’s newly appointed provincial focal point, facilitating journalists’ access to credible and on time information, and organizing capacity building programs for journalists and media workers of this province, were discussed.


Abdul Qadeem Wyar, AJSC acting director, in addition to introducing Mr. Mirzad, said that AJSC remains committed to building capacity of this provinces journalists and ensuring their job security and physical safety.


AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
