AJSC Holds Advocacy Meetings with Government Officials in the Centeral Zone

The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee, to address challenges facing media work, held separate advocacy meetings with government officials in Ghazni, Bamyan and Daikundi provinces.


Mullah Hamidullah Nisar, head of Ghazni’s information and culture directorate, Mawlawi Sediqullah Shaheen Musafer, head of Bamyan’s GDI, Mohammad Ibrahim Dadfar, head of Bamyan’s environmental protection agency, Ghazanfar Kazimi, spokesperson for the office of Daikundi’s governor, representatives of a number of government entities of Ghazni, a number of journalists of Daikundi, and provincial representatives of the AJSC had participated in these meetings.


In these meetings, challenges facing media work, Ghazni municipality’s license issue of local media outlets, installation of frequency filters, appointing spokespersons, financial challenges of local media outlets in this zone, facilitating better access to information and journalists’ safety were among the topics discussed.


Government officials, in addition to their support for media and journalists, said that they will cooperate in addressing challenges facing journalists


AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
