AJSC Meets Media Managers in 14 Provinces, Discussing Challenges and Opportunities of Media Work

To evaluate challenges and opportunities of media work, in the previous month, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held meetings with managers and journalists of 20 local media houses in Nangarhar, Takhar, Baghlan, Laghman, Nuristan, Helmand, Panjshir, Kunar, Ghor, Farah, Paktia, Faryab, Parwan, and Zabul provinces.


AJSC’s provincial focal points, head of Baghlan’s information and culture directorates, managers of RTA Panjshir and Nuristan, managers of Saba Journalist and Kunar journals, head of Tanwir Tv, managers of Hamsada, Hood, Saday-e Adalat, Firozkoh, Nawa-e Zan, Nishat, Hasin, Itefaq Nawin, Staa, Paigham, Yusra, Shkulla, Saday-e Parwan, and Dunaya-e Nawin radio stations had participated in these meetings.


In these meetings, challenges and opportunities facing media work, installation of transmitter filters, access to information, AJSC’s activities in improving the situation of the media, and financial issues of the media were discussed.


AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
