The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) shared challenges facing journalists and media houses with Shaikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani, governor of Laghman province.
Mirwais Khwakhogy, AJSC’s provincial focal point for Laghman, discussed the overall media work situation and journalists’ access to timely and credible information in this province and emphasized the need for the government entities cooperation with journalists and media houses.
In this meeting, Laghman’s governor said that the local administration is duty bound to provide journalists with timely information and promised to facilitate improved safety for journalists.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
