AJSC Meets Government Officials of Nimroz Province

The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) shared challenges facing journalists and media houses with government officials of Nimroz province, in separate meetings.


Mawlawi Torjan Ahmadi, deputy governor of Nimroz, Mufti Habibullah Elham, head of Nimroz’s directorate of information and culture, Shamil Ahmad Mashal, AJSC’s coordinator for the western zone, and Abdul Ghafar Azizi, AJSC’s focal point for Nimroz, and a number of journalists in western zone, had participated in this meeting.


Shamil Ahmad Mashal, AJSC’s coordinator for the western zone, discussed the overall media work situation and journalists’ access to timely and credible information in this province and emphasized the need for the government entities cooperation with journalists and media houses.


In this meeting, Nimroz’s government officials said that the work and broadcasting programs of media outlets under current circumstances to be effective and emphasized that the need for supporting media houses in this province.


AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
