AJSC Holds Advocacy Meetings with Government Officials in North Zone

The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) to address challenges facing media work, held separate advocacy meetings with government officials in Jawzjan, Samangan and Faryab provinces.


Mawlawi Saifuddin Mutasim, head of Jawzjan’s information and culture directorate, Mawlawi Shamsuddin Mohammadi, head of Faryab’s information and culture directorate, Mawlawi Mohammad Rahman Mohammadi, head of directorate of public works of Samangan, Abdul Latif Sahak, AJSC coordinator for the northern zone, Assadullah Attaei, head of information department of Samangan’s directorate of information and culture, Azadbig Rassoly, AJSC provincial focal point for Faryab and Fazel Rahman Saaei, AJSC provincial focal point for Samangan, had participated in these meetings.


In these meetings, challenges facing media work, appointing spokespersons, challenges of local media outlets in this zone, facilitating better access to information and journalists’ safety were among the topics discussed.


Government officials, in addition to their support for media and journalists, said that they will cooperate in addressing challenges facing journalists.


AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
