AJSC’s Acting Director Meets Government Officials and Local Journalists in Nimroz Province

The acting director of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), held separate meetings with Mawlawi Torjan Ahmadi, deputy governor of Nimroz, Mufti Habibullah Elham, director of information and culture directorate of Nimroz, and a number of local journalists in this province.


Abdul Qadeem Wyar, deputy and acting director of the AJSC, in these meetings, discussed journalists’ challenges and facilitating better access to information, adding that AJSC works to address challenges facing journalists and provide them with better services.


In these meetings, government officials, in addition to appreciating AJSC’s work, considered media work an important factor in the current situation and promised to address challenges facing journalists.


In these meetings, AJSC’s acting director was accompanied by Shamil Ahmad Mashal, AJSC’s western zone coordinator and Abdul Ghafar Azizi, AJSC’s provincial focal point in Nimroz.


AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media, and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
