A delegation of the central office of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) met with head of information and culture directorate and media managers of Takhar, during an official visit to the province.
Zabihullah Ansari, head of information and culture directorate, Hasib Fararoon, AJSC’s programmes manager, Yousof Zarifi, AJSC’s provincial coordinator, AJSC’s provincial focal point, and local journalists and media managers participated in the meeting.
In addition to appreciating AJSC’s work in improving the media work situation, financial challenges of local media houses, access to information, and facilitating capacity building programs for journalists were also discussed.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
