Understanding the importance of access to quality health services, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sina Waez Hospital in Kundoz province, to work together on facilitating access to health services, health related training programs and raising awareness on health issues.
AJSC’s zone coordinator for northeast zone, director of Sina Waez hospital, government officials and a number of local media manager and journalists were present in the signing ceremony of the MoU in Kundoz province.
Based on this MoU, Sina Waez Hospital, has agreed to provide journalists and media workers referred by the AJSC special discounts while accessing services such as appointment fees, inpatient care and stay costs, operations, laboratory costs, etc.
Based on the MoU, both parties committed to work together to facilitate journalists’ access to quality healthcare services, raising awareness on health issues, introducing health experts for media shows, etc.
The MoU consists of seven articles and is applicable for one year from the date of signing and can be extended with the written agreement of both parties.
