Officials of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) met Mawlawi Hamdullah Noumani, minister of Communications and Information Technology Ministry (MCIT).
The overall media work situation in the country, addressing challenges such as high cost of frequency licenses and previous debts of the media houses, and journalists’ access to, were discussed in the meeting.
MCIT Minister, in addition to pledging support for the media, said that he’ll make every effort so that challenges faced by the media, particularly the high frequency license charges, are addressed.
AJSC has been continuously working to facilitate a safe environment for journalists and media workers across the country.
