The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) shared challenges facing journalists and media houses with Mulah Shir Muhammad, governor of Zabul province. Mawlawi Seddiqullah Wasib, spokesperson for the office of the governor, was also present in the meeting.
In the meeting, Esmatulla Omari, AJSC’s provincial focal point for Zabul, in addition to sharing challenges facing journalists in this province, discussed the overall media work situation and emphasized facilitating journalists’ access to information and the need for the government entities cooperation with journalists and media houses.
In this meeting, governor of Zabul, said media should pay attention to Islamic and national values in their production. He also added that challenges facing media in the province will be addressed.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
