To evaluate challenges and opportunities of media work, in the previous month, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held meetings with managers and journalists of 20 media houses in Kundoz, Parwan, Nangarhar, Kunar, Baghlan, Nuristan, Paktia, Kapisa, Farah, Badghis, Ghor, Laghman, Zabul and Faryab provinces.
Officials from AJSC’s main office, north-eastern, capital and eastern zone coordinators and provincial focal points of AJSC, officials of RTA in in Kundoz and Nuristan, head of Tanwir radio and television network, head of Bakhtar News Agency in Ghor, head of Uranus Tv, and managers of Kundoz, Parwan University, Angaizy, Chonghar, Sind Ghag, Hood, Albirony University, Orooj, Samim, Saday-e Adalat, Sarhad, Kawoon Ghag, Hasin, Paigham and Yusra radio stations had participated in these meetings.
In these meetings, challenges and opportunities facing media work, access to information, AJSC’s activities in improving media situation, journalists’ safety and financial and broadcasting issues of the media were discussed.
AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
