AJSC Meets Media Managers in 19 Provinces, Discussing Challenges and Opportunities of Media Work

To evaluate challenges and opportunities of media work, in the previous month, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held meetings with managers and journalists of 21 media houses in Balkh, Khost, Kundoz, Ghazni, Nangarhar, Paktia, Farah, Badghis, Ghor, Panjshir, Nimroz, Laghman, Takhar, Jawzjan, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Paktika, Badakhshan and Faryab provinces.


AJSC’s coordinators for northeastern, central, western, southeastern and eastern zones, and provincial focal points, head of RTA in Ghazni, head of Takharistan Gazette, and managers of Kuhandazh, Huriat, Baharistan, Saday-e Adalat, Orooj, Samim, Saday-e Dost, Jerga, Ethihad, Kechkin, Sola Arma, Raghoon, Ghag, Afkar Mardom, Delha, Police, Khkula, Badloon Srak and Khial Nawakht radio stations had participated in these meetings.


In these meetings, challenges and opportunities facing media work, access to information, AJSC’s activities in improving media situation, journalists’ safety and financial and broadcasting issues of the media were discussed.


AJSC has been consistently working to address challenges facing the media and facilitate a safe environment for journalists.
