The representative of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) participated in the 4th conference on UN Plan of Action on the Safety of Journalists and Issue of Impunity, which was organized by International Media Support (IMS) and a number of media support organizations in Pakistan.
The three-day conference was organized in Islamabad, Pakistan, to mark the 10th anniversary of the UN Plan of Action on the Safety of Journalists and to assess the implementation of it.
In the conference, a number of media support organizations from South and Eastern Asian countries shared their experiences on journalists’ safety and discussed the dynamism of challenges facing journalists and the ways to address them.
In order to facilitate better coordination among various media support organizations in the region, in the conference it was decided to create a regional center for the safety of journalists and media workers
