Parwan Provinces’ Joint Government-Media Coordination Committee Holds Its Meeting

In order to address challenges facing media work and to create better coordination between government and the media, the Joint Government-Media Coordination Committee of Parwan province held its meeting.


The Joint Government-Media Coordination Committee of Parwan province was established at request of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) and aims to better address challenges facing journalists and facilitate better coordination between government organizations and media houses.


In the joint committee’s meeting, Masroor Lutfi, AJSC’s coordinator for Parwan province, Mawlawi Obaidullah Aminzada, governor of Parwan province, Mufti Idriss Anwari, deputy governor, heads of civil and military entities, local media managers and journalists of Parwan province had participated.


In the meeting, challenges facing media and addressing these challenges, facilitating journalists’ better access to information and strengthening coordination between government and media sector were discussed.


Governor of Parwan province and other government officials in this province, in addition to announcing their support for media, promised better cooperation and coordination of local government officials with the journalists of this province.
