The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized an advocacy and coordination meeting with Mawlawi Ziaurrahman Madani, governor of Takhar province, while a number of media officials and local journalists of this province were also present.
In the advocacy meeting, government officials’ cooperation with the media, journalists’ access to information and addressing challenges facing media houses were discussed.
Governor of Takhar province, in addition to appreciating the AJSC and media houses’ activities in this province, said that he will support media and journalists to the extent of his ability.
The AJSC has been tirelessly working to facilitate better coordination between government and the media.
