A delegation of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), led by the AJSC Acting Director met with media managers and local journalists in Nangarhar province.
In the meeting with media managers and local journalists of Nangarhar province, topics such as access to information, journalists’ safety, organizing training programs for journalists and creating coordination between government officials and the media were discussed.
Abdul Qadeem Wyar, acting director of the AJSC, said that one of the main objectives of this trip is to meet government officials in regards with challenges facing journalists and media workers. In addition to organizing training program for journalists, the AJSC endeavors to find solutions to the challenges facing journalists and media houses, by creating better coordination between government officials and the media, Mr. Wyar told the present journalists in the meeting.
The AJSC has been tirelessly working to facilitate a safe environment for journalists and better coordination between government and the media.
