AJSC Organizes Coordination Meetings with Government Officials in Three Provinces

The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC), in order to address challenges facing journalists, organized coordination and advocacy meetings with provincial officials, media managers and local journalists of Ghazni, Kapisa and Zabul provinces.


In the meetings, challenges facing journalists and topics such as the right to access to information, journalists’ safety and coordination between government and the media, were discussed.


Mawlawi Ziaulhaq Hamed, Kapisa province’s police chief, Mula Hamidullah Nisar, director of Ghazni province’s information and culture directorate, and Khalifa Mohammad Ibrahim Jawid, head of Zabul province’s propagation of virtue and prevention of vice directorate, had participated in the advocacy and coordination meetings.


In the advocacy and coordination meetings, government officials in these provinces, promised to facilitate journalists’ better access to information and a convenient environment for media.
