The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held advocacy and coordination meetings with Mula Ahmad Shah Deendost, governor of Ghor province, Mawlawi Abdul Hai Zaeim, head of information and culture directorate, and a number of media officials and journalists of this province.
In the meetings, the right to access to information, government officials’ cooperation with media, and addressing financial challenges of the media and journalists and media workers’ safety, were discussed.
In the coordination meeting, governor of Ghor province, in addition to announcing his support for journalists and media workers, assured that all necessary measures to protect journalists and media houses are in place, and called on the media to have unity and maintain impartiality in reporting.
The AJSC has been tirelessly working to facilitate a safe environment for journalists and better coordination between government and the media.
