AJSC Acting Director Meets Governor, Head of Information and Culture and Journalists of Takhar Province

To address challenges facing media work and to create better coordination between media and the government, the acting director of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) met with governor, director of information and culture, media managers and local journalists of Takhar province.


Abdul Qadeem Wyar, acting director of the AJSC, in separate meetings with governor and head of information and culture directorate of Takhar province, emphasized on the need facilitating better working environment for journalists, adding that AJSC has been working to facilitate a safe working environment for media houses, and journalists’ better access to information by creating better coordination between media and government officials in this province.


AJSC acting director, in the meeting with local media managers and journalists Takhar province, thanked this media community for their dedicated work in keeping the society informed and said that the AJSC remains committed to support the Afghan media community.


Mawlawi Ziaurrahman Madani, governor of Takhar province, appreciated the AJSC acting director’s visit to this province and said that he’ll do everything to support journalists and address their challenges in this province.


Zabihullah Ansari, Takhar’s director of information and culture directorate, province said that organizing this such meetings is important and said that this entity will cooperate with journalists in addressing their challenges. He also asked AJSC to launch more capacity building programs for journalists of this province.


The AJSC has been tirelessly working to facilitate a safe environment for journalists and better coordination between government and the media.
