To address challenges facing journalists in accessing information and creating better coordination between media houses and government officials. the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized an advocacy meeting with Innamullah Samangani, head of Directorate of Information and Culture of Kandahar province.
Matiullah Sarwar, AJSC’s government relations coordinator, in this meeting emphasized the importance of facilitating journalists’ better access to information and said that the AJSC’s working to facilitate a safe working environment for media houses, and journalists’ better access to information.
Innamullah Samangani, head of Directorate of Information and Culture of Kandahar province, said that this directorate has facilitated a safe working environment for journalists and media houses, asking the AJSC to constantly organize this kind of meetings so that challenges facing journalists and media workers are addressed in an adequate manner.
The AJSC has been consistently working to facilitate a safe environment for journalists and better coordination between government and the media.
