To address challenges facing media work, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) held an advocacy meeting with Hayatullah Mahajer Farahi, deputy minister of publication of the Ministry of Information and Culture (MOIC).
In the meeting of Abdul Qadeem Wyar, acting director of the AJSC, with the deputy minister, improving the work conditions of the media, journalists’ safety and access to information, and changing the electricity tariffs of media houses from commercial to residential, were discussed.
The AJSC has been continuously working to facilitate a safe environment for journalists and better coordination between government and the media.
