To address challenges facing media work, the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) organized an advocacy and coordination meeting with Hafiz Mohammad Agha Karim, governor of Panjshir province. The meeting was also attended by a number of media managers, local journalists and government officials.
Haroon Onabi, AJSC focal point for Panjshir province, in addition to detailing the work of the AJSC and media outlets in this province, emphasized the need for creating better conditions for journalists’ access to information.
Governor of Panjshir province, in addition to appreciating the work of the media houses in this province, said that the media is a bridge between the government and people and plays a crucial role in the society.
The AJSC has been continuously working to facilitate facilitate a safe environment for journalists, and a better coordination between government and the media.
